about

Red Le Clerc's debut single ‘Losing Myself’ is a heartfelt indie ballad about a point in all relationships where you have to decide whether you should stay or go. This song captures the raw heart ache of knowing you’re losing yourself if you stay, but you don’t want to lose them. Genevieve’s background in acoustic and choral arrangements mixed with Blake Gomersall’s lo-fi and electronic style creates a beautiful sombre sound with a beat you can sway to. We hope this song comforts those who need it.

lyrics

[Verse 1]
How do I know when it’s time How can I tell if it’s time to leave Oh I’ve gotten sick of crying And you’ve gotten sick of trying
[Chorus]
Do you really love me
And do I love you?
It’s harder to know when it’s been so long Would I do fine without you?
I don’t know
But I’m feeling scared and you’re all I’ve known
[Verse 2]
No one teaches you how to lose love
You’re in or you’re out there’s no in between Cause I’m really sick of crying
And I don’t think that you’re trying
[Chorus]
Do you really love me
And do I love you?
It’s harder to know when it’s been so long Would I do fine without you?
I don’t know
But I’m feeling scared and you’re all I’ve known
[Bridge]
How do I know?
How do I know?
Cause I still love you
But you're not the one for me to stay with
[Outro]
I’m in too deep
I’ve got too much to lose
But is it worth losing myself? Is it worth losing you?
